What kind of cuisine do you serve at Roly's?
Modern Irish and European cuisine with seasonality at its core. Ingredients are chosen from the most conscientious Irish Food Producers with our fresh fish landed off the east coast and from the Atlantic. Our beef is principally Irish Hereford Prime and our lamb, grass fed from the south east. Signature dishes are Grilled Irish Rib and Fillet Steaks; Roast Ribs of Irish Hereford Prime Beef; Grilled fresh Dublin Bay Prawns; Classic Dublin Bay Prawn Scampi and Chips; Kerry Lamb Pie and Clare Island Smoked Organic Salmon with Castletownbere Crab. -
What is the difference between the bistro restaurant and the terrace restaurant ?
The Bistro remains Roly’s iconic original first floor restaurant. Crisp table linen, quiet elegance with window tables over-looking the hustle and bustle of Ballsbridge; private corner tables, booths and and glazed divisions that ensure intimacy. Fine Irish Seasonal Dining and a wonderful cellar The Terrace Restaurant, added to Roly’s in 2021 might well be described as a ‘Boulevard Restaurant’ – looking out onto the bustling four points of Ballsbridge – Herbert Park; Clyde, Pembroke and Shelbourne Roads. From late spring to late summer the floor to ceiling windows glide open effortlessly at the first sign of sun. A cosy warm glazed conservatory restaurant with real parquet floors and classic white marble tables. Value-for-money casual dining -everything from (possibly Dublin’s best) breakfast to salads and sandwiches; supper pasta dishes and Grilled Irish Steaks and Dublin Bay Prawns. -
Do you have a bar at Roly's?
Yes, Angie’s Bar – from a pint of Dublin’s finest Guinness to the best value cocktails in the city; over a dozen fine wines by the glass and a range of whiskies and gins from Ireland’s refound distillery heritage. -
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Roly's is fully wheelchair accessible on the ground floor. While we do not have wheelchair accessibility upstairs, we do offer the full (upstairs) Bistro menu to those that want it in the ground floor Terrace Restaurant. -
Do I need to make a reservation to dine at Roly's?
We recommend making a reservation, especially for larger groups or during peak times. You can make a reservation online or by calling us. -
Can you accommodate large groups for special events?
Yes, we can accommodate large groups for special events such as business lunches and dinners, family occasions, graduations and birthday celebrations. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements. -

Do you have parking at Roly's?
Whilst Roly’s does not have its own car park there is ample parking nearby on Herbert Park Road, Anglesea Road, Ballsbridge Avenue, Ballsbridge Park, Elgin Road, Clyde Road. Read parking signs carefully.
